When you opt into courtesy overdraft protection for personal accounts, you can enjoy the peace of mind of knowing that in most cases, the purchases you make from your OceanFirst Checking accounts will be covered, even if you don't have the funds in your account to cover the purchase.

The bank will use discretion to pay overdrafts. This means there is no guarantee that the bank will always authorize and pay these transactions. If the bank does not authorize to pay an overdraft, the transaction will be declined. If you opted into courtesy overdraft protection and overdraw your account by more than $50, you will be charged $38 each time an overdraft transaction is paid or declined, with a maximum of four fees per day.
