Congratulations to our June 2025 WaveMaker of the Month!

How long have you been a member of the OceanFirst Bank team? What 
role do you play on the Bank Team? I have been a part of the Ocean First team for almost 12 years. I am the branch manager of the Cape May Court House branch and work with the best team!

What has been your favorite volunteer activity – and why? I have always enjoyed all types of volunteering, but last month I was a part of a financial literacy program for NO LIMITS BOXING in Rio Grande, NJ. This by far left a huge impact on my heart. The participants were amazing, and you could just see how much they wanted to learn and change the world. I will be volunteering there in the future for sure.

What has volunteering taught you? Volunteering has always been a part of my life going back to my schooling in Philadelphia. Volunteering opens your eyes to things that you might otherwise look past and makes you realize that one helping hand can change someone’s life.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? I always wanted to be a teacher. When I was a child, I always had a whole school room (desk, chalk board, books etc.) set up in my house so I could teach my dolls. And now I have been in banking for 29 years. Life takes you down different paths for a reason.

What is your favorite quote? “I can accept failure, everyone fails at something, but I can’t accept not trying” Michael Jordan

Are you a traveler or a homebody? I am always up for a road trip to anywhere or nowhere. I have traveled through 39 states and would love to finish the list of 50. 

Do you sing in the shower or in the car? In the car. I am a car singer. If I am having a day that is not the greatest, I put on my favorite playlist on iTunes, turn the volume up very loud and sing my heart out. Some of the best times of my life have been singing in the car with my friends. The range of music is from New Kids on the Block, Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, the Beatles, Ed Sheeran, Eminem, the Four tops, the Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, Pink, Elvis, PitBull, New Edition, Bruno Mars, Bon Jovi and so on! I could go on forever about my favorite music!
