Red Bank-based OceanFirst Bank N.A., the wholly-owned subsidiary of OceanFirst Financial Corp., announced Monday it has appointed Karthik Sridharan as executive vice president and chief information officer.

Sridharan will be responsible for enhancing OceanFirst’s digital banking strategies. He will report directly to Christopher D. Maher, chairman and CEO.

Sridharan, who has more than 26 years of experience in information technology, most recently served as the chief technology officer at Citigroup. Before that, he held leadership roles in global technology management at JP Morgan Chase & Co. and Bank of America Corp. Prior to that, he was an industry manager at Microsoft Corp.
