How long have you been a member of the OceanFirst Bank team? What role do you play on the Bank Team? 11 years, 2+ in Loan Originations
What has been your favorite volunteer activity – and why? It’s been a few years but my husband and I were on the Board of Directors for EHT Baseball Association. We also ran the concession stand for 5 years from April until Father’s Day. It had its stressful moments, but we really enjoyed the interactions with the kids and their families. Our 2 younger kids grew up on those fields and will have a lifetime of memories. My oldest was even a volunteer umpire one season.
What has volunteering taught you? Volunteering has taught me that even simple kindness can change someone’s day. Whether it be giving a child a free snack or a coat, seeing them get excited with that gesture is awesome.
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? This is tough because I love to eat! If I had to choose, it would probably be steak with a garlic butter sauce and a very loaded baked potato.
What is your favorite quote? My favorite saying is everything happens for a reason. I can attribute every major life event, good or bad to a reason. My daughter is getting a tattoo of this to honor me :)
Are you a traveler or a homebody? I am always up for a getaway with my husband and family but finances don’t always allow for that. I am definitely a homebody in my day-to-day life.
What is the last TV show you binged and what review would you give it? Only Murders in the Building on Hulu. I really liked it but I do feel it’s a bit overrated. I would probably give it a 7 out of 10.
What was the last thing that made you laugh? A picture of my 2-year-old granddaughter doing something she probably shouldn’t be doing. She has a larger-than-life personality.
